Hi folks. I just gbought a DVD player which was on special offer at half price, £80 to be exact. I wanted a portable to take on holiday with me and stuff. Anyway, it only came with a remote with 28 identical membrane buttons whic[h apostrophe r]e quite small, so mum doesn't see how we can mark it up, so she suggested I should look in to getting one of those universal remote control handsets which works with anything you want it to. Does RNIB or Cobalt supply such units for example?

I've now looked on RNIB and Cobalt, and RNIB only has a Sony universal remote for the TV and Cobalt doesn't do any such thing.

can't you memorise the buttons? It might take a little time, but it's worth it in the long run. You won't have to worry about the markings coming off if the remote gets banged around a lot.

They don't have markings though.
